For those of you who are following me on Instagram (and if you’re not, you should be, because that’s where all the fun happens), you’re probably well aware of the never ending booklist I’m constantly trying to work my way through. Unfortunately, people keep writing new books, so it just grows and grows, but I did make a commitment to read at least one book a month. It doesn’t sound like much, but believe me, sometimes that’s even tough! I’m a huge fan of biographies and autobiographies - especially related to music - so they make up a big portion of my reading time, and the ones I’ve been reading the last few months were so good, I couldn’t put them down!

1. Me: Stories of My Life by Katharine Hepburn

I love Katharine Hepburn so much. She’s spunky, feisty, and so unbelievably empowered! I wanted to be best friends with her after reading this book.

2. An Outlaw and A Lady: A Memoir of Music, Life with Waylon, and the Faith that Brought Me Home by Jessi Colter

I grew up listening to classic rock and outlaw country, so I’ve always had a soft spot for Waylon and Jessi. When I saw her book in the bargain bin, I snatched it up! I’m about halfway through and loving all the stories she tells about her cowboy.

3. Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements

Nick is a huge fan of The Replacements and turned me on to them when we started dating. I was between books, so he recommended I read this one. Guess what? I’m about a quarter of the way into it, and it’s unbelievably good.

And next on the list is…

Just Kids by Patti Smith. I’ve heard so much about this book but have never read it! I can’t wait to start it.

What are you reading? Any suggestions for my reading list? Let me know in the comments below!
