AIP Diet: Resetting for 2019 with Paleo on the Go

Wishing you all a sunny, peaceful weekend! Mine’s full of family and football (two of my favorite things), and - of course - food!

One thing’s for sure, I’ve been waaaaaay more mindful about the food I’m eating after the holidays. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great to a) find balance in eating healthy and indulging on special occasions and b) lose the guilt trip when you do have a Christmas cookie or two, but after indulging quite a bit, I noticed the familiar feelings of sluggishness, heaviness, and an overall “not at my best” feeling.

I know how different I feel when I’m at my best. My movements are fluid and easy; my mood is calm and positive, and I can make decisions without anxiety. I’m more in tune with my gut (literally and figuratively) and aware of what’s going on in my body. Some of that is based on how regular my yoga and meditation practices are. But a lot of it is based on the food I’m eating.

For me, that means Paleo-based, whole, nutrient dense foods like bone broth, organic, grass-fed beef, and healthy fats like coconut oil, but eating a Paleo diet isn’t always the easiest! Most restaurants aren’t down with the caveman philosophy, and if you’re anything like me, you don’t have time to spend hours and hours in the kitchen. Luckily, Paleo on the Go is here to help.
