Hi! I'm Luci.

Welcome! I’m so happy to meet you, and I can’t wait to get to know you as we go on this yoga journey together. A little about me: I’m a yogi getting ready to enter yoga teacher training in May (so excited!!) and a musician, living in Atlanta. I love a good meal and a smoothie (even when it’s cold outside), chocolate and vegan ice cream, long walks on the beach or in the park, hiking, flowers, and listening to ABBA at unreasonable volumes. I’m a dog-mom to two rescue pups: Charlie, a six-year-old miniature poodle with epilepsy, and Roxy, a two-year-old English Shepherd mix. 

I started practicing yoga when I was 16 or 17, but it wasn’t until February 2019, right after my 24th birthday, that the time was right for me to move forward with a teacher training. In fact, I was standing on my mat, in the middle of a 30 day yoga program with Yoga with Adriene, when Adriene spoke the words that sent chills up and down my spine. “You are exactly where you’re meant to be.” She probably didn't mean it literally — that a yoga mat, doing yoga, was what I was meant to do — but I knew it in my gut. I signed up for a training the next day. 

This is my yoga journey, but this is yours, too. Maybe you’re here because you already love yoga and just can’t get enough, or maybe you’re here because you felt the same way I did at 16: longing for a change, to feel good in your body, to slow a racing mind, to open up and connect with your heart in a way that you haven’t experienced in a long, long time. To laugh and to be at peace. 

My practice — and this blog — are centered around a simple phrase: go with the flow. It’s the mantra for my life, meeting the seasons and circumstance with ease, steady breath, grace, and a little bit of humor, and the motivation behind my yoga and wellness practice. Yoga with Luci was created to share that philosophy, that ease, that practice, so you can slow down, close your eyes, and take the deepest breath you’ve taken all day. It’s yoga for everyone, anywhere, and a reminder that you’ve got everything you need to not only live but thrive deep down inside of you.

5 Facts About Me

  1. I love my family, yoga, dogs, food, music, and traveling more than anything in the world. I really love traveling with my dogs and my family to interesting places, to eat good food and listen to incredible music. My favorite bands? ABBA, The Beatles, Queen, George Harrison, Dan Auerbach, The Allman Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Delaney & Bonnie (yup, you guessed it; I was a hippie in another life).

  2. I’ve been in the music industry - as a musician, manager, social media coordinator, and marketing specialist - for over seven years, and work as a music journalist and editor for a few different publications.

  3. I met my boyfriend, Nick, who also happens to be in the music industry (he’s in a band and also happens to be an insanely talented producer) at one of my shows, and the rest is history. We’ve been together for more than two years, have two dogs together, and share a love for family, wellness, travel, sitcoms, vintage band t-shirts, and - of course - food.

  4. Yoga, reading, and cooking are my favorite hobbies. I’m passionate about holistic wellness, Ayurveda, and food as medicine, especially after a diagnosis of Leaky Gut, adrenal fatigue, a rogue thyroid, and years of anxiety and depression healed naturally through yoga, meditation, and diet.

  5. My #LifeGoal? Move to the beach in the next five years. Which beach? Lerici, Italy, Funchal, Portugal, and anywhere in Costa Rica are at the top of the list right now, but I’m not picky. Make it warm and sunny, and I’ll see you there.
